Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders from 1st Ince and Elton joined the rest of the nation this morning in commemorating the fallen from conflicts past and present.
The morning started with the Scout Group assembling in the Elton Community Centre Car Park at 9:30am before parading with a Police escort to St James’ Church in Ince to attend the annual Remembrance Sunday service.
Attendance across the three sections was excellent once again this year with the young people wearing smart uniform and exhibiting exemplary behaviour that has given the Scout Group the reputation it currently holds.
Today’s service was extra special as it marked the last Sunday Service from our current Vicar, Margaret – before she retires. 1st Ince and Elton would like to wish Margaret all the best in her retirement.
We’d like to thank all those who attended this morning, and also those who joined in our parade. We’d also like to mention a special thank you to Cheshire Police for providing officers to close roads and escort the parade through the village.
