Coronavirus (COVID-19) - We are currently in the Green Readiness Level, which means all activities can resume for members. For the latest updates, please check out our dedicated page by clicking here.

The Elton Bonfire and Firework Spectacular is a family-friendly bonfire and fireworks display, that has been run annually since 2010 (with the exception of 2020) for our local community. The event is run entirely by volunteers from 1st Ince and Elton Scout Group, who also oversee the organisation of the event.

The event is FREE to enter, however donations received on the night are greatly appreciated as all money is ploughed back in to scouting here in Ince and Elton.

We are very pleased to reveal that plans are well underway for the return of our Bonfire and Firework Spectacular this year.

Whilst we’re all still learning and adjusting to life with the coronavirus as a virus that won’t be going away, this year we our focussing our target audience on our own local community – the three villages of Elton, Ince and Thornton-le-moors.

The date for what will be our 10th display is Friday 5th November 2021 (subject to there being no changes in government guidance that will prevent us from proceeding).

Keep checking back here, and on Social Media for the latest updates regarding our annual display.

With less than a week to go before the main event, and with the ongoing high number of cases across the country – we’re politely asking that attendees to our Bonfire and Firework Spectacular follow COVID-19 recommendations:

  • Use hand sanitisers where available
  • Wear face masks in crowded areas (such as entrances, exits and stalls)
  • Social distance between groups where possible

You shouldn’t attend our event if you are showing any symptoms of COVID-19. This includes:

  • Having been instructed to isolate by NHS Test and Trace
  • Have signs of a fever or elevated temperature
  • Have a new or persistent cough
  • Experienced a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell
  • The requirement to quarantine after returning from abroad.

Please support Elton's only annual community event! As a community group, we invest a huge amount of time and money into staging this event, which has grown in both reputation and popularity over recent years - your support is crucial to the continued success of this event.
