✨ Important Update – Elton Firework Spectacular 2025 ✨
At our Trustee Board meeting on 1st October 2025, the difficult decision was made that this year’s Elton Firework Spectacular will not be going ahead.
During planning we’ve faced a number of challenges — rising costs, unexpected new expenses, and a shortage of volunteers. Fundraising through the event has also declined in recent years, making it harder to absorb these additional costs. Taken together, it means we are unable to deliver the event safely this year.
We know this will be disappointing news. The display has become a highlight of Elton’s calendar, and we’ve worked hard behind the scenes to try and keep it running. Sadly, despite our best efforts, it just isn’t possible this time.
A huge thank you goes to everyone who has supported the event over the last 13 years — by volunteering, sponsoring, or simply coming along on the night. Your support has meant the world to us.
Although there won’t be fireworks this year, our Scout Group remains at the heart of the community, continuing to provide opportunities and activities for local young people.
💛 Thank you for your understanding — and we hope to be back with a bang in the future.
The Elton Firework Spectacular is a family-friendly fireworks display for our local community that has run annually since 2010 (with the exception of 2020). The event is run entirely by volunteers from 1st Ince and Elton Scout Group, who also oversee the organisation of the event with support from other local community groups.
The event is FREE to enter, however donations received on the night are greatly appreciated as all money is ploughed back in to scouting here in Ince and Elton.
2024 DISPLAY
Our flagship fundraising event is back for it’s 13th year on Saturday 2nd November on Elton Parish Field.
Unfortunately there no Bonfire again this year, but all the usual food and drink stalls will be there – as well as our fantastic Fireworks display.
Due to the unprecendented numbers that attended the event in 2021, this year our target audience is once again the three villages of Elton, Ince and Thornton-le-moors. We strongly recommend that those from outside these areas attend a Bonfire/Fireworks event that is more local to you.
Our event is walkable from most areas of the village, and we encourage people attending to arrive by foot. However, we do understand that some people may need to arrive by car. As such, there is extremely limited parking available at Elton Community Centre (and elsewhere in the village).
When leaving your car, please be mindful of where you’re parking – ensuring that you’re not blocking any access to propoerty, nor causing obstruction for Emergency Vehicles.
Keep checking back here, and on Social Media for the latest updates regarding our annual display.
