On Saturday 10th September, Scouts from 1st Ince and Elton Scout Troop descended on the Village Green to plant some bulbs for Elton Parish Council. The bulb planting followed the meeting the Scouts held with a representative from the Parish Council the night before, where the Scouts were asked if they would do the job for their Community Challenge badge.
Luckily the rain held off and with the few sunny spells it was pleasantly warm! In total a whopping 1,700 bulbs were planted by the Scouts which should blossom and bloom come Spring-time!
A massive thank you to the Scouts for being good sports, and as a whole we’d like to thank The Rigger Pub for providing us with some drinks while we were there, they were very much appreciated!
