1st Ince and Elton showed their respects on Sunday 13th November as they attended the Remembrance Sunday Service at St James’ Church, Ince.
The day started off at 09:15 outside the Community Centre as Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts assembled into a parade with representatives from Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Ex-Serviceman. At around 09:25 the parade left the Elton Community Centre Car Park with a Police Escort and made their way to the Church.
The Parade went through the Heart of both Ince and Elton as the route took us up School Lane and Ince Lane. We arrived in at St Jame’s Church at 09:45 and were seated straight away.
The service was well attended and behaviour on the day was fantastic, while our friendly vicar delivered an excellent service.
After the service, a handful of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts headed to Thornton-Le-Moores for a short service at the Cenotaph as well as laying the Poppy Wreath.
Once again the group as a whole were well behaved, showed their respect and are a huge credit to ourselves as well as the community.
