1st Ince and Elton Scout Troop celebrated their first year of opening on Friday (14th October) night by throwing a fun filled party, inviting friends, parents and representatives from the community. The night involved opening music by one of the Scouts, a look back at what the group has done and achieved during it’s first year followed by games and plenty of birthday cake!
On the night, Vicki Serna (Scout Leader) thanked all the leaders, parents, helpers and most importantly the Scouts for their help and support during the troop’s first year, and also thanked everyone that turned up for the party. Scouts also shared their favourite moment of the last 12 months and one of the new Scouts was invested on the very special day.
It’s been a very successful year for the Troop, starting off with just 8 Scouts to almost double that now with 15 Scouts. In it’s first year the Troop has scooped up joint 1st District Junior (with 1st Norley) at this year’s Cheshire Hike, both 2nd and 3rd at this year’s District Triathlon and Junior 2nd at this year’s District Orienteering Competition at Delamere Forest – to name a few. We’re hoping our next year will be just as successful!
