Harvest Service 2019

29th Sep @ 09:45 11:00

On Sunday 29th September, we will be attending the annual Harvest Festival service at St James’ Church, Ince. Please ensure your child is in full Scout Uniform with Scout Activity Trousers or School Trousers/Skirt and Smart Shoes.

Please meet outside the church at 9:45am ready for the service to begin at 10am. Pick up time will be approximately 11am.

Each section usually produces a Harvest Basket, so non-perishable donations in packets, tins, etc would be greatly appreciated. If food donations could be handed in at meetings prior to the service, that would be incredibly helpful. There will also be a collection during the service.

Although attendance to Church Services are entirely optional, we do actively encourage attendance (regardless of faith) as attendance to religious services are a critical requirement of achieving a number of the “Challenge” badges which make up the Chief Scouts Awards. Group attendance also acts as a good way to build on our relationships within the local community.

If you have any questions, then please speak to a leader.

Harvest Festival Service 2016

It’s that time of year again, where we celebrate the gift of harvest. This years Harvest Festival Service is being held at St James’ Church in Ince this Sunday 25th September. We would really appreciate a great turnout for this short event. Attendance does count towards a number of the Challenge Badges that make up the Bronze (Beavers), Silver (Cubs) and Gold (Scouts) Awards. The service will start at 10am and should be finished for approximately 11am. If we could meet outside the Church in Ince at 9.45am, ready for the service to start at 10am. We also kindly request that young people bring along any non-perishable food gifts that will be collected and handed out to local charities.
