About the Role
Even giving just a couple of hours can make a huge difference.
We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to help us bring back the Elton Firework Spectacular.
Whether you can spare a few hours on the night, or would like to get involved in the planning behind the scenes, there are a range of ways you can help.
This is a community event, run entirely by volunteers, and we simply can’t do it without additional support.
Ways You Can Get Involved
You don’t need to commit to everything – just let us know what suits you.
🔧 Event Planning & Organisation (Before the Event)
Help shape the event in the lead-up, including:
- Planning and coordination
- Logistics and setup planning
- Liaising with suppliers or local partners
- Supporting communications and promotion
🎇 Event Day Volunteers (On the Night)
Setup Team
- Preparing the site
- Setting up equipment, signage, and stalls
- Assisting with general event setup
Entrance & Stewarding
- Welcoming attendees
- Assisting with entry and general guidance
- Helping manage crowd flow and answering questions
Refreshments & Stalls
- Supporting food and drink sales
- Handling cash/card payments (where required)
General Support
- Being a visible, friendly presence
- Helping where needed across the event
- Supporting the team in keeping things running smoothly
Pack Down Team
- Assisting with clearing and tidying the site at the end of the evening
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need any specific experience—just a willingness to get involved.
We’re looking for people who are:
- Friendly and approachable
- Reliable and willing to help
- Flexible and happy to pitch in where needed
- Comfortable working as part of a team
What You’ll Be Part Of
Event volunteers play a key role on the night and are often the main point of contact for attendees. You’ll be helping create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for the whole community.
