DESCRIPTION:This is the last Cubs meeting before Christmas. \nAs a little end of year treat for the Cubs\, we will be going to BeBoulder in Widnes. The night has been fully paid for by the Scout Group so no contribution will be needed from parents. This includes travel costs as we have booked the District Minibus for the evening so as to avoid parents having to pay the Mersey Gateway toll. \nWe will also be providing the Cubs with a McDonalds Happy Meal during the evening. \nPlease can parents drop off Cubs at the end of the Scout Hut Lane by 18:30.

SUMMARY:Mersey Weaver Trek
DESCRIPTION:Mersey Weaver Trek is an Annual expedition in July open to 10-12½ year olds from any Scout group in the District. Scouts walk approx 12km in teams of 4-6\, camp overnight and cook their own evening meal. Every one who takes part receive’s a special necker and a complimentary breakfast the following morning. Trek is a fantastic way to get an introductory feel of what’s involved in participating in an event like Cheshire Hike or just opportunity for our younger Scouts to experience the Great Outdoors!

DESCRIPTION:As some of you will be aware\, at this time of year we hold a Night Hike for all troops within our district\, where Scouts navigate a short route in the dark in teams of between 6-10. DESCRIPTION:On Sunday 13th November 2016\, it’s Remembrance Sunday\, the day we remember all those who gave their lives defending their Country and the way of life we enjoy. \nOur Beavers\, Cubs and Scouts will be parading from the Elton Community Centre to St James’ The Great Church in Ince\, where a Service of Remembrance will be held. Cheshire Police are once again controlling traffic along School Lane and Ince Lane to allow the procession to parade safely. \nWe will be meeting on the Community Centre Car Park\, for no later than 9:00am. Full uniform\, including Scout Activity Trousers (or School Trousers if you don’t have Scout Activity Trousers) and shoes to be worn please. Please bring a coat with you in case of inclement weather. \nThe Service of Remembrance should conclude at around 11:15 – however\, if possible\, we request that Scouts also attend a brief Open Air Service at the Cenotaph in Thornton-Le-Moors after the Service of Remembrance. We’ll confirm details about this on the day. \nWe also invite Members and Ex-Members of the Armed Forces to join the parade to the Church. \nPlease do your very best to attend – it would be nice to see another fantastic turnout from the Scout Group. \nIf you have any questions\, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with a leader.

DESCRIPTION:1st Ince and Elton Scout Group would like to invite you to our ‘Macmillan Coffee Evening‘ which is taking place on Tuesday 27th September from 18:30 – being held at the Scout HQ to support Macmillan’s “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning“. \nFamily and friends of young people from all sections (Beavers\, Cubs and Scouts) are welcome to come along and help us raise some money for a great cause! \nYour support could help give Macmillan nurses more: \n\nTime to give medical help – You could ensure a Macmillan chemotherapy nurse can give vital treatment to one more cancer patient.\nTime to give practical help – You could ensure a Macmillan nurse can help more people living with cancer to get the equipment and support they need to stay living in their own home.\nTime to give emotional help – You could ensure a Macmillan nurse can talk to one more wife or husband to help them come to terms with what’s happening to the person they love.\n\nTogether we can make sure that no one faces cancer alone. \nWe’re holding our Coffee Evening earlier than the official date of Friday 30th September to allow us to fit around other local events and also our own sectional programmes. \n

SUMMARY:Harvest Festival Service 2016
DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again\, where we celebrate the gift of harvest. This years Harvest Festival Service is being held at St James’ Church in Ince this Sunday 25th September. \nWe would really appreciate a great turnout for this short event. Attendance does count towards a number of the Challenge Badges that make up the Bronze (Beavers)\, Silver (Cubs) and Gold (Scouts) Awards. \nThe service will start at 10am and should be finished for approximately 11am. If we could meet outside the Church in Ince at 9.45am\, ready for the service to start at 10am. We also kindly request that young people bring along any non-perishable food gifts that will be collected and handed out to local charities.
