DESCRIPTION:This year marks 100 years since the end of the first World War. \nOnce again\, we will be parading from Elton Community Centre to St James Church in Ince\, followed by a service at St James Church. \nThe parade will be assembling at Elton Community Centre from 9am ready for departure at approximately 9:20am. To mark 100 years since the end of the First World War\, it would be great if we could get at least 100 people making up this years parade. Parents\, relatives and members of the public are invited to parade behind the Beavers\, Cubs and Scouts if they wish. \nThe service at St James Church starts at 10am and is usually finished between 11am and 11:30am – however\, there is no return parade.. \nPlease can we request that ALL Beavers\, Cubs and Scouts wear smart uniform for this event – aka School or Scout Activity Trousers/Skirt and Shoes (no leggings or trainers please). \nWe would like to encourage a good turn out for the parade and service please\, especially with us once again receiving support from Cheshire West and Chester Council and Cheshire Police to enforce road closures for the parade to take place. \nTemporary Traffic Regulation

SUMMARY:Royal Cheshire County Show 2018
DESCRIPTION:A number of our adult volunteers are supporting Cheshire Scouts at this year’s Royal Cheshire County Show on the 19th and 20th June. \nCheshire Scouts support the show in the form of a number of roles\, however the key role is ticket collection at the gates. Cheshire Scouts also run their own stand (which can be found by the Band Stand) showcasing the best of Scouting in Cheshire. The Mersey Weaver Climbing Wall will also be at the show\, located on the Scouts Stand – feeling adventurous\, give it a go!! \nThe show is a great day out and pulls around a staggering 100\,000 visitors over the two days. If you’re thinking of visiting the show this year\, swing by the Scouts stand and more if you see any of our volunteers – say hello!

SUMMARY:Cosford Airshow 2018
DESCRIPTION:Three years ago\, we took our troop to Southport Airshow – it proved to be largely successful trip and was popular with all of the Scouts. Between the leaders\, we’ve been thinking of doing it again for the last year or two when we take into account how successful it was the first time. \nSo – we’re going to do it again. But this time\, we’re going bigger and better by heading over to RAF Cosford (the home of the RAF Museum) to attend this year’s Cosford Airshow. This year\, it’s being held on Sunday 10th June. \nDue to how Cosford run their group bookings\, we’re limited to the capacity of the minibus – which is 12 Scouts. So we’re operating this trip on a first come – first served basis (sorry folks\, it’s very rare that we have to do this). \nWe’re still working out the costs for this trip (Fuel and Minibus Hire)\, hence why it’s currently showing as TBC – but we anticipate that it will be no more than £10 per Scout. It will be an all day event (exact timings of pick-up and drop-offs will be announced nearer the time). \nIf your child is interested in attending then please let us know by confirming via My.SCOUT – remember this is being operated on a first come\, first served basis.

DESCRIPTION:For the Scouts Christmas Treat\, we will visiting “Clip N Climb” in Chester on Friday 15th December. \nThe cost of this event will be £10 and will last approximately 90 minutes. \nPlease arrive between 20:00 and 20:15 for a prompt 20:30 start and we will be finishing at 22:00 approx. \nFor more information on the centre you can visit clipnclimbchester.co.uk \nA waiver will need to be signed on the evening\, we will try and get these to you before hand however they will be readily available on the night. \nScout will need to bring enough change for a drink and should not need no more than a couple of pounds. Clothing can be casual for the evening neckers will not be needed due to the type of activity that the young people will be participating in.

DESCRIPTION:This is the last Cubs meeting before Christmas. \nAs a little end of year treat for the Cubs\, we will be going to BeBoulder in Widnes. The night has been fully paid for by the Scout Group so no contribution will be needed from parents. This includes travel costs as we have booked the District Minibus for the evening so as to avoid parents having to pay the Mersey Gateway toll. \nWe will also be providing the Cubs with a McDonalds Happy Meal during the evening. \nPlease can parents drop off Cubs at the end of the Scout Hut Lane by 18:30.

DESCRIPTION:Parade from Elton Community Centre to St James Church in Ince\, followed by a service at St James Church. \nThe parade will be assembling at Elton Community Centre from 9am ready for departure at approximately 9:20am. Parents\, relatives and members of the public are invited to parade behind the Beavers\, Cubs and Scouts if they wish. \nThe service at St James Church starts at 10am and is usually finished between 11am and 11:30am – however\, there is no return parade.. \nPlease can we request that Beavers\, Cubs and Scouts wear smart uniform with a Poppy for this event – aka School or Scout Activity Trousers/Skirt and Shoes (no leggings or trainers please). \nWe would like to encourage a good turn out for the parade and service please\, especially with us once again receiving support from Cheshire West and Chester Council and Cheshire Police to enforce road closures for the parade to take place. \nTemporary Traffic Regulation

DESCRIPTION:1st Ince and Elton Scout Group would like to invite you to our ‘Macmillan Coffee Evening‘ which is taking place on Tuesday 26th September from 18:45 – being held at Elton Community Centre to support Macmillan’s “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning“. \nFamily and friends of young people from all sections (Beavers\, Cubs and Scouts) are welcome to come along and help us raise some money for a great cause! \nYour support could help give Macmillan nurses more: \n\nTime to give medical help – You could ensure a Macmillan chemotherapy nurse can give vital treatment to one more cancer patient.\nTime to give practical help – You could ensure a Macmillan nurse can help more people living with cancer to get the equipment and support they need to stay living in their own home.\nTime to give emotional help – You could ensure a Macmillan nurse can talk to one more wife or husband to help them come to terms with what’s happening to the person they love.\n\nTogether we can make sure that no one faces cancer alone. \nWe’re holding our Coffee Evening earlier than the official date of Friday 29th September to allow us to fit around other local events and also our own sectional programmes.
